I do LGBT+ and inclusion-related workshops
I’ve been happily designing and delivering workshops since about 2011, with:
staff teams in different sectors
community groups and volunteers
students and young people
Today, I facilitate inclusion workshops on behalf of WE CREATE SPACE and Babbasa, but I mostly work with groups and organisations directly.
What to expect from a workshop with me
Relevant to your circumstances and your people
Accessible to the needs of everyone who participates
Lots of time to discuss, ask questions and practise skills
Wraparound activities to help people retain the important stuff and apply it outside of the workshop
In other words, I want to make and deliver workshops that align with the ways that people actually learn, engage with and retain new knowledge, perspectives and practices.
This often happens through real experiences, memorable conversations, having a go at stuff, repeated exposure and building competence over time.
Can I deliver what you need?
My past workshops have helped familiarise groups with the meaning of diversity, equity and inclusion; the idea of unconscious bias and what it means to be LGBT+, amongst other topics.
Maybe you want a workshop related to one of those topics, or maybe it’s something inclusion-related but not listed above.
Really, I want to know what you think you might need, and why, and to discuss the workshop idea/topics from there. If the topic is something I’m not well-placed to deliver, I’ll try to suggest a more appropriate workshop facilitator.
